Bishop Noel Jones and City of Refuge Church LA have reached a major milestone in ministry!

On June 23, 2024, they celebrated 30 years in ministry. The church hosted a celebration in honor of the special occasion. First Lady Loretta Jones who Bishop Jones married in 2022 was in attendance.

The Jamaican born minister assumed the position of senior pastor in 1994, succeeding Bishop Robert W. McMurray. At the time, the church was known as Greater Bethany Community Church before becoming City of Refuge.

Under his leadership, City of Refuge has grown in membership and prominence. Boasting a roster of over 17,000, the church is one of the flagship houses of worship in LA.

The church is currently hosting service in a temporary location in Compton before the opening of its new campus is south Los Angeles.

Congratulations to Bishop Noel Jones and City of Refuge for reaching this remarkable milestone.
