The Church of God in Christ just made a massive cumulative contribution to help victims of the California wildfires!
During a church service on Tuesday, February 11th, COGIC Charities distributed over $240K to COGIC members and churches impacted by the devastating California wildfires.
During the ceremony, 11 bishops received financial donations ranging from $3,000 to $64,000.
To receive the funds, bishops had to submit allocation templates detailing how the money would be spent.
Although $240K was distributed, Presiding Bishop J Drew Sheard revealed that COGIC Charities had approximately $400K in total to donate.
Therefore, remaining funds will be donated to churches and members based on need until all the funds are exhausted.
This donation by COGIC Charities is an extraordinary example of faith in action!
