She's a winner!
Dr. Teresa Hairston, author and founder of Gospel Today Magazine, won an Emmy at the 60th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards in the Entertainment for the docuseries "Black History Honors The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center."
The docuseries was produced by Central City Productions and the Stellar Network. It was directed by acclaimed director Alphonzo “Zo” Wesson III.
This Emmy win was a first for the writer and entrepreneur.

The docuseries centers on the lives and legacies of Underground Railroad freedom activists, including Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and lesser-known figures such Jermain Wesley Loguen, Henry “Box” Brown, and Robert Smalls.
Dr. Teresa Hairston is the wife of Stellar Awards CEO and Founder, Don Jackson.
She shared on social media, "It’s never too late to stretch! My husband gave me the opportunity to write my first whole entire television show… Black history, honors! And look here… My first Emmy! God is amazing."
