CONGRATULATIONS to Pastor Jamal Bryant who announced during worship service on May 26th at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church that Dr. Karri Turner had "consented to be his wife"!
Pastor Jamal Bryant was previously married to Bravo reality star Gizelle Bryant. They divorced 11 years ago. The two have 3 children together.
53-year old Jamal Bryant admitted to talk show host Willie Moore Jr. that he owed it to his children to "see [him] in a healthy relationship" because his marriage had failed in front of them.
Pastor Jamal Bryant is a graduate of Morehouse College with a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University and a Doctor of Ministry from Graduate Theology Foundation.
His sister is Dr. Thelma Bryant-Davis, the 2023 President of the American Psychological Association.
Jamal Bryant served as an African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church pastor for nearly 20 years in Baltimore, MD before assuming the role of Senior Pastor at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Georgia in 2018.
His new fiance', Dr. Karrianna "Karri" Turner, is Pastor of Cardiology, one of the Associate pastors at the church. She is a speaker and scholar in her own right.
The 42-year old is a graduate of HBCU Morris Brown College. She completed her Master degree at Emory's Candler School of Theology and her doctorate at Regent University.
For the past few months, the couple had been spotted together. But it's now official that Pastor Jamal Bryant and Dr. Karri Turner are engaged.
No official announcement on the wedding date.
