Dante Bowe has returned to his worship music roots.
The former Maverick City front man announced on social media that he just recorded his first live worship project.
The live worship project, entitled "Welcome Home," was recorded February 7th in Irving, Texas.
The project featured Christian music titans, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Tamela Mann, Benita Jones, Maryanne George, and Enrique Holmes.
The night included some of Bowe's most notable worship music tracks along with new, unreleased songs such as "Kid Again," "Welcome Home," and "I Give It All."
Dante Bowe has one of the most distinctive voices in music
Despite being a founding member, in 2022, he and Maverick City Music severed their professional music relationship.
Nevertheless, Bowe continued to release Christian music, oftentimes collaborating and touring with other Christian music artists.
In 2023, Bowe released a R&B-inspired, self-titled album.
Bowe revealed to Pastor Bryant on his self-entitled podcast that the transition to R&B music had been "difficult." He told Ebony magazine that some of his fans in the Gospel and Christian industry did not understanding the transition.
With that, many in the Gospel and Christian community are probably happy to see the Christian music "maverick" return home to his worship music roots.
Welcome Home!
