19-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, Kirk Franklin, has done it again!
The prolific artist scored his 14th No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart with his new album FATHER'S DAY (Fo Yo Soul/RCA) for the week dated October 6-12.
Written and produced by Franklin, his new album was released on October 6, 2023 and features ten tracks, including "Welcome Home, "Needs," Try Love," and "All Things" among others.
The song, "All Things" topped the on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart and the Mediabase Gospel chart. It is his 10th #1 single on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart.
The album FATHER'S DAY marks Kirk Franklin’s first new solo album since the release of the GRAMMY-winning album LONG LIVE LOVE in 2019.
This new album is deeply personal for Kirk Franklin as its release coincides with the discovery of his biological father after years of believing that another man was his father. He chronicles the revelation in a raw video documentary on YouTube.
Kirk Franklin is known as the "King of Urban Gospel" and is considered one of the most successful gospel artists ever.
In March 2023, Franklin made history by spending 100 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Songwriters chart and becoming the first artist to reach the 100-week milestone on any Billboard songwriters chart.
In 2022, Kirk Franklin co-headlined the highly successful Kingdom Tour with Maverick City Music.
He is currently on the Reunion Tour with The Clark Sisters, Tamela and David Mann, Tye Tribbett, and Israel Houghton.
