NAACP Image Award Winners Announced: Erica Campbell Wins for Song; Maverick City Wins for Album

The NAACP Image Awards have announced the winners for Outstanding Christian/Gospel Song and Outstanding Christian/Gospel Album.

The respective winners were Erica Campbell for her hit radio bop "Positive" and Maverick City Music for their album KINGDOM BOOK ONE.

As you may recall, "Positive" was Erica's first #1 single at gospel radio as a solo artist. This year's ceremony, she beat out a loaded field including Marvin Sapp's "All In Your Hands" and Tennessee State Band for "Fly."

Maverick City Music is continuing their dominance from the Grammys. Their album KINGDOM has won at every major awards show this season.

Other NAACP nominees for Outstanding Christian/Gospel Album include Tye Tribbet for ALL THINGS NEW, Tasha Cobbs Leonard for HYMNS, James Fortune for MY LIFE, and The Tennessee State Band for THE URBAN HYMANAL.

The NAACP hosts four (4) virtual award shows, which lead lead up to the live show on Saturday, February 25th.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners!
