Comedian KevOnStage keeps winning!
The comedian will star in a new television series entitled "Church," that will debut on BET+ on February 15th.
“Churchy” first began on social media by Kev and was later expanded with the help of SpringHill, the production company founded in 2020 by LeBron James and Maverick Carter.
The faith-based comedy was a new genre that the SpringHill team was looking to explore.
KevOnStage, whose real name is Kevin Frederick, will play Corey Carr Jr., the son of a mega-church pastor whose “life takes an unexpected turn when he’s bypassed for leadership of his father’s church."
Disappointed, but determined, Corey heads to rural Texas to start his own ministry. While in Texas, Corey soon realizes that church in a small town is a completely different game.
In addition to Fredericks, the cast features Anthony Elfoniza, Lexi Allen, London Solomon, Mark J. P. Hood, and Shani Shockley.
Congratulations to KevOnStage and everyone involved!
