President Trump announced today that he will sign an executive order to eradicate “anti-Christian bias” in the federal government.
In doing so, the President is creating a faith office in the White House, which will be led by prosperity televangelist Paula White.
While the President did not outline the specific function of the Faith Office, he did state, “We will protect Christians in our schools, in our military, in our government, and in our workplaces” and to protect Christians from religious discrimination.
It was unclear to what instances of Christian discrimination the President was alluding.
In addition the President announced he would direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead a task force on eradicating anti-Christian bias, giving her the authority to "fully prosecute anti-Christian violence and vandalism in our society."
The establishment of the White House Faith Office and task force is a direct manifestation of the goals of Project 2025 to infuse government and society with conservative Christian Nationalist values.
Paula White has been a fierce ally of President Trump. She served as chair of the evangelical advisory board to the president's 2016 campaign.
Paula White initially rose to national fame on television, leading a multi-cultural congregation, garnering considerable favor with the Black community.
Despite her goodwill within the Black community, in 2020 White drew criticism by equating Black Lives Matter (BLM) to a terrorist organization after initially supporting BLM.
